When spring arrives, we often want to quickly equip ourselves to
start our seedlings. But what
equipment is essential to get started? How can we avoid unnecessary expenses while getting maximum satisfaction? Discover our advice and tips for equipping yourself with the

I. Choosing and Selecting Seeds
Who doesn't want to grow tomatoes on their balcony? But does your balcony offer good conditions for the tomato plant to produce beautiful and tasty fruits? You need to select your
seeds based on your desires, but especially based on the feasibility of cultivation. Nothing is more discouraging than starting cultures that don't grow. You might think, "I really don't have a green thumb!" when in reality, even a professional gardener wouldn't be able to grow the same vegetable in the same place if the growing conditions aren't right. If you have a stock of seeds: Check the expiration date and test their

II. Choosing Potting Soil for Seedlings
To grow seeds, you need a substrate: soil.
Potting soil is soil enriched with compost. To facilitate the rooting of your young seedlings, favor a light soil specially designed for seedlings. You have two options:
Coco coir discs, a good support for seedlings.
Special seedling potting soil, very fine and light to avoid excess moisture. You can also make your own seedling soil with 50% garden soil, 25% sand or vermiculite, and 25% well-enriched compost.
III. Growing Containers
To grow beautiful seedlings, you'll need two types of containers:
Seedling pots: small, ideal for germination and growing a single plant.
Growing pots: we recommend geotextile pots for better root aeration.
